You can cancel up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of the experience’s start time won’t be refunded. If the weather is unsuitable, you’ll be offered a different date or a refund. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers; if not met, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

• End Point: The tour wraps up back at the same spot for convenience.

• Day 1: Meet your group in Madrid and travel to the picturesque medieval village in Castile La Mancha. Settle in, enjoy a welcome drink, and savor a traditional farm-to-table dinner featuring local wines and artisanal foods.
• Day 2: Explore the village’s historic sites, vineyards, and olive groves with guided tastings at a local winery. Then, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by stunning views of the countryside.
• Day 3: A relaxed morning with time to explore, shop for artisan goods, and soak in the village atmosphere before returning to Madrid in the afternoon.

Day 1

Arrival & Welcome Wine Tasting by a 10th Century Castle

 

•  Zorita de los Canes
  Your journey begins with a 5 PM pick-up in Madrid, followed by a relaxing hour-long drive to our charming village in Castile La Mancha. After arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink on a terrace overlooking olive groves, a river, and an ancient 10th-century castle. Take in the sights and sounds of nature, leaving the city behind. Once settled into your private, en-suite accommodations, we’ll kick off with a short introduction to the upcoming days. Then, we’ll take a guided stroll through the village to get oriented, finishing with a tasting of three wines from our award-winning family winery (non-alcoholic options available).

Day 2

Full-Day Adventure Through History and Flavor

• Stop 1: Castillo de Zorita de los Canes
  Begin your day by exploring this magnificent 10th-century castle overlooking a medieval village of only 68 residents. This is a true step back in time and a feast for the senses.

 

• Stop 2: Castile-La Mancha
  After breakfast, visit the village bakery for fresh artisan bread. Our main adventure starts with a gentle walk through historic Visigoth and Moorish sites, dating back to 578 AD and 900 AD. A short presentation will explain the significance of these locations, setting the stage for a day of discovery. At our home beside the castle, indulge in a farm-to-table feast of Manchego cheese, meats, fresh vegetables, black garlic, honey, olive oil, vermouth, wines, beers, and handmade bakery treats. Participate in food demonstrations, watch from the kitchen with a glass of wine, or explore the hidden castle tunnels.

 

• Stop 3: Albalate de Zorita
  A quick bakery stop to pick up more local treats to enjoy during the day.

 

• Stop 4: Almonacid de Zorita
  Wander around this monument-rich village, where we’ll pause for coffee or a glass of wine.

Day 3

Departure Day - Lakeside Relaxation & Medieval Town Tour

• Stop 1: Pastrana
  After breakfast, visit the nearby town of Pastrana, just 15 minutes away. Explore its historic streets, enjoy coffee in a vintage-style café, and don’t miss the famous cake shop.

 

• Stop 2: Bolarque Lake
  Weather permitting, we’ll head to a lake nestled in the forest for swimming, relaxation, or optional water sports like SUP or kayaking. In cooler weather, we’ll extend our town tour instead.

 

• Stop 3: Madrid
  After lunch, we’ll begin our return journey, arriving in Madrid around 5 PM.
